MUKTESHAWAR TEMPLE is a legend about this temple according to which once there was a huge fight between a demon and Lord Shiva. The demon was defeated in this war, he attained liberation.The Mukteshwar temple also has a Shiva Linga of white marble, which has a copper yoni. Apart from the Shivling, idols of other deities including Lord Ganesha, Brahma, Vishnu, Parvati, Hanuman, and Nandi are installed here. It is also said about this temple that couples who are childless get a child here. A childless couple is believed to be blessed with a child after praying to the God of an earthen lamp here.
